Catrin Howell

21 January – 18 March 2012

Born and brought up on a farm in west Wales it seems natural and even inevitable that animals should provide inspiration for Catrin’s work. She is interested in the roles that animals play in mythology, the way they are used to convey narratives, both ancient and contemporary. This new body of work by Catrin, shown at Ruthin Craft Centre for the first time, follows an intensive period in the studio.
